The Mission of the Alliance of Christian Musicians

The ACM exists to promote excellence in the ministries and performance of music in the church by providing education, fellowship, and support for those musicians whose first priority and obligation is obedience and service to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Matt.6:33) These goals will be met through workshops, conferences, concerts, and seminars, as well as mutual sharing of knowledge and experience among its members. The focus of the ACM is on church music, including all of its derivations. The membership is committed to the Bible as found in the Old and New Testaments as the authoritative, inerrant, holy and revealed Word of God. It recognizes that the Holy Bible is profitable for reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. (I Tim. 3:16)

Members of ACM recognize that they are called not only to love, support, and encourage one another, but to promote excellence and good works in whatever musical calling God has led them. (Heb. 10:24-25; Phil. 2:3-4; Gal. 6:9-10; I John 3:18)

Members of ACM believe that they are called to be holy before the Lord, and to minister to all whom He brings into their sphere of influence. They strive to maintain a right relationship with God; obey His commands found in the Bible (Rom. 12:1-2; John 14:21; Eph. 5:3; I Peter 2:11); serve God through their musical talents with all their heart, soul and mind; and treat others as they would like to be treated (Mark 10:45; Matt. 22:37-39).

The ACM is guided by its Executive Director and Governing Board. They will develop activities that work toward the goals of the ACM as set forth in its Mission Statement. They, in turn, are and assisted by an ordained Pastor chosen jointly by the Executive Director and Governing Board. The ACM year runs concurrently with the calendar year.
